Simple how to make Mizu-yokan  水ようかん

Agar powder and is a simple recipe of Mizu-yokan using koshian you have purchased in the supermarket.
The amount of sugar, please go easy in the sweetness of Koshian.

水羊羹=水ようかん=Mizu-yokan=Soft Red Bean Agar
こしあん=Koshian=Strained Sweet Azuki Beans

☆Ingredient☆
(7 pieces cup with a diameter of about 6.5cm)

2g ・・Powder agar
360g ・・Koshian
65g・・Granuated sugar
500cc ・・Water

Tool・・Diameter 17cm depth 8cm more saucepan
(It is more the inside of the pot is black is easy to understand it melts condition of agar and sugar)






Simple recipe of Mizu-yokan to make a powder agar

◇Add water and powder agar in saucepan.
◇Gently mix with a wooden spoon to put the fire.
◇Once the water is boiling, to dissolve boiled agar in the low heat.

◇After dissolving boiled powdered agar, it is added in portions sugar 2-3 times.
◇Once melted sugar, are added in divided Koshian to 2-3 times
◇Melt completely Koshian

◇When the melt is Koshian, you stop the fire.
◇Pot needle water to the size of the bowl that enters is, to cool the agar was allowed emergence of the pot.
In this case, please have much mixed with agar solution in a wooden spatula.
If you do not mix, agar solution will solidify.
If you do not work here carefully, Koshian and agar will have finished the Mizu-yoka separated.

◇The temperature of the agar solution will come down.
◇In touch with your fingers, if you come down to a temperature of about say that the warm, be divided into container.

◇Mizu-yokan which is divided into the container and wait until set completely at room temperature.
◇Cool the solidified Mizu-yokan in the refrigerator.
◇Upon cooling to eaten, it is ready to serve Mizu-yokan.

Powder agar because there is no time to be back in the water as the rod agar and yarn agar, it is good to immediately make the Mizu-yokan.
